Katie was born in Edmonton, Alberta on March 12, 1985 and is currently 26 years old. Katie has two older sisters: Erin, who is 31 and lives in the Columbia Valley and Stacie, who is 29 and currently working in the Armed Forces in Cold Lake, Alberta.

In 1996, at the age of 11, Katie moved to Columere Park, in the Columbia Valley to live with her Grandma. She attended JA Laird Elementary School and then David Thompson Secondary School, the same schools I attended; only she was three years younger then me. During her high school years, Katie worked at Coy’s Par 3 Golf Course in Columere Park. She worked there for three summers in a row and loved it. Towards the end of the summer in 2003, Katie and I took a week long camping trip to Vancouver and Vancouver Island. We had such a great time together and Katie absolutely loved the shopping.

On August 29, 2003, coincidently my 21st birthday, Katie moved to Calgary, Alberta. What a great birthday present. Katie began her post-secondary studies at Mount Royal College, where she worked towards obtaining her Bachelor of Education degree. While going to Collage, Katie also started working at La Senza. She made her way up through the company quickly, starting as a sales consultant, and then getting promoted to a team leader, then assistant manager, and then visual merchandiser.

Katie loves to travel and went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in the spring of 2004 and Las Vegas in the spring of 2006. She hopes to plan many more trips in the future and is looking forward to our honeymoon in Honolulu, Hawaii.

One of Katie’s favorite things to do is shopping. She could spend hours at the mall and now she doesn’t only have to shop for herself but Alyssa as well. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, Internet, the beach, tanning, hot weather, and sunny places. Her favorite food is both ice cream and cheesecake. Katie loves nothing more than spending time with Mark and Alyssa.

I was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan on August 29, 1982 and am currently 29 years old. My mother and father moved to Canada from Zurich, Switzerland in 1981. After I was born, my parents moved to Wilmer, British Columbia, where I spent my childhood. I have two younger brothers: Thomas, 24 and Alexander, 21.

A month after graduating from high school, in June of 2000, I moved to Calgary, Alberta to begin my three-year post-secondary studies at DeVry University. I graduated from DeVry in June of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems.

During University, I was working for a company called Kestrel Data. After I graduated, they offered me a position doing Software Development. Two acquisitions later, our company is now called Fugro Data Solutions. I have been with the company for 10 years and am one of the Senior Software Developers.

In October of 2003, my family and I took a trip to Switzerland to visit our relatives and do some traveling. This was my fifth time traveling overseas but definitely my most memorable. Since then, Katie and I have traveled to several places throughout North America, including Vancouver, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Las Vegas. We both enjoy traveling to our hometown in British Columbia to visit friends, family and the community. I enjoy spending a day on the ski slopes at Panorama Mountain Village in the winter or an afternoon at the beach or on the golf course in the summer.

Aside from my career and family life, I enjoy various recreational activities, such as skiing, skating, cycling, rollerblading, golfing, camping, and playing foosball. In my free time, I take pleasure in listening to music, surfing the Internet, watching television or just relaxing at home and spending time with my family.
